At Sunshine Services, we are dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. One of our key initiatives is the Enabling Technology Program, which leverages innovative tools and methodologies to enhance self-sufficiency at home, in the community, and in the workplace. 

What is Enabling Technology? 

Enabling Technology refers to the use of various devices and support systems—both off-the-shelf and customized—that assist individuals in performing tasks independently. This encompasses person-centered methods and remote support technology solutions designed to promote autonomy. The Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging defines Enabling Technology as equipment and/or methodologies that, alone or in combination with associated technologies, provide the means to support individuals’ increased independence in their homes, communities, and/or workplaces.

• Training and Support: Our team provides comprehensive training to ensure individuals and their support networks can effectively use the technology.
