EARLY INTERVENTION

Nurturing Potential: Early Intervention for Lifelong Success

Early Intervention provides personalized support for children from birth to their fourth birthday. As an Early Intervention Resource Agency through Tennessee’s Early Intervention System (TEIS), we help families navigate resources and equip children with tools to achieve their fullest potential.

Our program is designed for children who qualify under the Department of Education criteria as having developmental delays or learning challenges. Governed by Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Early Intervention offers a comprehensive, home-based educational program tailored to the needs of Knox, Blount and Jefferson County families. These cost-free services are fully funded by state and federal programs, Medicaid, and private insurance.

Key Features of Early Intervention

  • Weekly Home Visits: Developmental Therapists visit families to deliver lessons and guidance in the child’s natural environment, focusing on daily routines to foster growth.
  • Individualized Lesson Plans: Tailored strategies and activities designed to enhance your child’s developmental milestones.
  • Developmental Assessments: Regular evaluations to track your child’s progress and adapt the program as needed.
  • Family Support: Assistance with navigating community resources and coordinating additional services.

Early Intervention provides compassionate, expert guidance to help children thrive and families feel supported every step of the way.
